Auto-update WordPress plugins – New feature saves you time and improves security

WordPress has introduced a cool new feature that allows you to auto-update all your plugins. This is one thing that lot of bloggers miss out as it has to be done manually earlier.

As shown below, you can mark “Enable auto update” feature for each of the plugin individually or you can select and mark them in bulk action.

But I suggest you to enable auto updates only for the free plugins that has been installed from WordPress repository and not the paid ones. For the paid plugins, even though they show “new update available”, will fail when it is auto updated. You have to manually go to your downloads area of the paid plugin and then download the zip file and do manual installation.
