Which meta tag is more important for SEO

If you are in the process of building a website, then you will need to give some serious thought to meta tags. Meta tags are imperative if you want your site to rank well, but which one will benefit you the most? Take a look below to get the answer and our reason behind.

Meta Description

The most important tag, by far for your site, would be the meta description. Meta descriptions are in the <head> part of the page and they are shown in the SERP snippet.  So why is it so important that you get this right? Ultimately, your meta description isn’t a ranking factor, but that doesn’t mean that it’s not a dire necessity if you want to bring more traffic to your site. A meta description will cover most of your snippet in the SERP (Search Engine Ranking Position), not to mention that it’s a great way to encourage clicks to your site.

The title tag is the very first meta tag that you will see when you search for a website page. It shows as a headline on a search engine result page, and it essentially gives an idea of what your page is about.

Header Tags

Header tags are great for changing font sizes, and they also help to identify the information hierarchy on a website page. Header tags range from H1 to H6.

Alt Text Tags

The alt text tag aims to describe the general context of an image. It’s important, mainly because search engines are incapable of seeing images and an alt text is the only way that the engine can tell what it is. Alt text tags also help to give visitors a general idea of what an image is, if it doesn’t load up.
