Create custom menu to link the most important pages
Menus are the most important navigation of any site. For WordPress websites the first basic navigation is menu. It has links to the most important pages like “Home, contact, privacy, about us, pricing etc.” There is sidebar and “recent posts” navigation which lists the recent posts on chronological order. But menu is something you create manually with the option to select the pages or posts or even any external link. Menus are completely customization and offer the necessary navigations in your site.
To create your first menu go to Appearance > Menus and use “create menu” option by giving it a name.
Note: Menu is always displayed in the header and above or below the title of your blog based on your theme. When you view in a mobile device the menu shows in collapsed format for mobile compatibility.
Make sure to have it short (around 5 to 7 pages) with the most important links only and also a mandatory link to the home page. The menu links are sortable based on the order you wish it to be
